Our Responsibilities

We believe that as a world-class, innovative communications provider, it's integral that we embrace Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) principles in our work and in the community in which we operate – and our CSR initiatives do just that.

We recognize and accept the need to embrace actions that go beyond the financial obligations of conducting business. Wataniya aims to be recognized as a responsible corporation that values the community it serves, the environment it operates in and the workplace it offers to its employees.

Community Policy
WTM aims to contribute positively to the community it serves in by supporting initiatives that promote sustainable national and social development. One important element is our support to developing sustainable ICT education and contributing to the growth of the sector. In May 2010, the launch of the Wataniya ICT Incubator marked a significant forward in this initiative.

Environment Policy
We also recognize that caring for the environment is an important element of our business in the Maldives. Which is why while we support sustainable development, we also aim to adopt practices that reduce the direct and indirect impacts of our business on the environment.

Workplace policy
We promte a safe and healthy environment for all its employees and we're committed to making Wataniya a place of learning and fun where emmployees can reach their full potential.
