For the first time in the Maldives, customers will be able to transfer credit from their local Wataniya number to international mobile numbers.
This service is exclusive to wPrepaid and wPrepaid Obi customers.
In order to send credit from local Wataniya number to an international mobile number, customers are required to follow the below instructions.
1. Send an SMS with international mobile number to 4046
a. Example: +97475022211 or 0097475022211
2. Customer will receive an SMS to select the transfer amount from a pre-defined denomination list
a. Example: “Select the denomination that you wish to transfer: 1) PKR 100 (RF 22), 2) PKR 250 (RF 53), 3) PKR 500 (RF 107), 4) PKR 1000 (RF213)”
i) Note: customer receives the denomination in receiver's local currency
3. Select the amount and send to 4046
a. Example: “Type 1 and send to 4046 to send PKR 100 (RF22).”
b. Example: “Type 2 and send to 4046 to send PKR 250 (RF53).”
4. Customer will receive an SMS to confirm the transaction
a. Example: “You’re about to send PKR100 to 97475022211 you will be charged RF22. Reply ‘Y’ to confirm, ‘N’ to cancel."
5. Once the transaction is successfully completed, customer will receive a confirmation SMS
a. Example: “You have successfully transferred PKR 100 (Rf 22) to 97475022211. Your total charge is Rf 22 inclusive of 15% Service Charge. Thank you for using Wataniya”
b. Once the transaction is completed, the credit will be transferred in real-time
6. For a cancelled transaction, customer will receive an SMS
a. Example: “Your transaction has been cancelled”
