mLearning, or Mobile Learning, is an innovative and interactive learning concept that uses advanced technologies to provide education anywhere. Students no longer need to travel to schools and colleges - now, all you need is a laptop and a Wataniya wBroadband connection.
With mLearning, students and learners can use mobile devices, like laptops, to participate in virtual classrooms.
Unlike distance or e-learning, mLearning uses real-time video and audio streaming that allows students to communicate with both the lecturers and other students.

How do I participate in the live lectures?
You can participate in live lectures and communicate with lecturers and other students via a webcam and/or microphone. You can also chat, send online and offline messages, post questions, use the virtual SmartBoard, sit for online examinations and so much more. It’s exactly like being in a classroom but you’re in the comfort of your own home or coffee house or even on the beach.
An archive of lectures is also available for later reference.
What courses are available?
A number of courses are offered through mLearning, from Certifcate and Diploma level, up to Masters level. The first mLearning course offered under this initiative, the Executive Diploma in Marketing from the University of Colombo, was a 1-year course fully accredited by the Maldives Accreditation Board.
